`scribblets`
she stood alone on the seashore.
the occasional breeze caressed her cheeks & her ragged dress danced gently around the tiny girl.
seagulls reigned supreme in the orange-lined sky
as the setting sun sprinkled glimmers of light across the water's skin.
she felt a surfeit of regret engulf her & the tears blurred the perfect picture before her.
but it didnt matter.
she felt the soft granules of sand tickling her soles,
and she heard the rushing salt water hurry up & down the beach.
after what seemed like eternity, she struggled to exit the flawless scene.
her white cane aided her as always.
the blind child was helpless.
but the smile never left her face.
